Welcome Andy Skeats, Quality Manager

Andy Skeats has been appointed Quality Manager for Haworth Castings, Romsey. Having spent over 40 years in engineering, manufacturing and care, as a fully committed Quality Manager, Andy has returned to the foundry industry with Haworth Castings to assume responsibility for quality and health and safety.

In common with many engineering organisations, Haworth Castings currently holds ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, which is one of the world’s most recognised Quality Management Standards.

Andy brings a wealth of experience and is looking forward to using the BS EN ISO 9001 2015 standard to help Haworth Castings drive the business even further delivering continual improvements in the way we run our business, helping to increase efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.

Haworth Castings are committed to producing excellent top quality products that perform to customers’ requirements and industry standards.

At Haworth Castings, ISO 9001 2015 accreditation provides external verification to our customers that we are meeting the very highest standards in how we run our business, using and implementing Quality Management systems for the benefit of both customers and the company.

The scope of approval has been extended and now includes the machining division at Basingstoke.

In the most recent of external audits by CQS, Haworth had a clean sweep with Zero improvements required at Major, Minor and Observation requirement. Andy says, “this success is a credit to the way Haworth perform with every member of the team contributing and performing well against established requirements embedded into our systems and ways of working.”

Whilst not a mandatory requirement for foundries, ISO 9001 2015 accreditation opens the door to businesses that realise Haworth are seriously committed to customer satisfaction and are operating as a best practice supplier.

The ISO 90012015 accreditation, which is used by more than one million businesses worldwide, is based on a number of Quality Management principles that cover areas such as process approach, management responsibility, customer focus and continual improvement.
