Major investment in Haworth’s sand reclamation

A major problem that confronts many foundries is the ability to process an adequate amount of sand to meet requirements for varied tasks in molding and core making.

Due to the continual expansion at Haworth Castings, we have recently purchased a new thermal reclamation plant. The £250,000 investment allows us to triple the amount of high quality grade, superb definition sand created.

With the vast majority of our sand being re-processed and a solution that is 3 times quicker, reducing energy consumption, this allows us to dramatically decrease our carbon footprint.

With a market leading thermal reclamation plant and a new dedicated 125mm gas supply to the foundry, we can increase our already outstanding reliability even further and dramatically reduce downtime for our customers. As well as offer the best definition sand castings in the UK market.
